Falling Walls Lab Australia presents 20 talented young researchers and professionals, showcasing their most innovative ideas
We would like to draw your attention to an innovative scientific challenge for bright young minds – the Falling Walls Lab.
The Lab is a platform for excellent young researchers, Bachelor, Master and PhD students, postdocs, young professionals, entrepreneurs and innovators from all disciplines from Australia. They get the opportunity to present their ground-breaking research projects, initiatives, innovative ideas or business models to peers and a distinguished jury from academia and business, chaired by Australia’s Chief Scientist Dr Alan Finkel. Each participant has 3 minutes on stage to present their work, answering the question “Which are the next walls to fall?”.
The aim of the Falling Walls Lab is to foster scientific and entrepreneurial innovations and to promote the exchange between young scholars and professionals emerging from different fields of expertise.
The third Falling Walls Lab Australia will take place on 11 September 2018, at the Shine Dome in Canberra, hosted by the Australian Academy of Science in partnership with the Embassy of Germany in Canberra and the German–Australian Chamber for Industry and Commerce.
Falling Walls Labs take place all over the world each year. A distinguished jury selects the most outstanding presenter of each international Falling Walls Lab who qualifies directly to present at the Falling Walls Lab Finale in Berlin on 8 November 2018, and is also awarded a ticket to attend the international Falling Walls Conference on 9 November 2018, where some of the world’s most prominent scientists present their breakthrough research.
