Australian civil status certificates are issued by the competent “Registry of Births, Deaths and Marriages” of the respective state or territory:

Getting civil status certificates from Germany
Germany does not have a central registry office. Civil status certificates are issued by the competent local registry office which registered the birth/ marriage etc. Usually every town or city has at least one registry office.
