The science and innovation section of the German Embassy supports and promotes bilateral cooperation between Germany and Australia in higher education, scientific research and innovation.
Its aim is to foster collaborative projects between German and Australian research institutions and academic exchange.
The science section is the contact point for all questions relating to the German research landscape and to bilateral research funding options through agencies such as the Alexander-von-Humboldt-Foundation, the German Research Council (DFG), and their Australian equivalents.
One important focus is innovation: here we assist German companies and the Fraunhofer-Society in identifying Australian partners for innovative research areas ranging from biotechnology to self-driving cars.
